Add your name. Free child care for every New York family.
It takes thirty seconds, and it counts where you live. Albany and City Hall sort these by district — so yours lands with the person who actually votes on the child care budget, your block attached to it.
What you’re signing.
We’re parents and caregivers across New York, and we’re asking Albany and City Hall to:
- 01Fund care that lasts a workdayA free seat that ends at 2:30 and shuts for the summer isn’t free — it’s a bill for after-care and camp. Fund the whole day and the whole year.
- 02Make free 3-K real outside New York CityA kid in Buffalo shouldn’t have worse odds than a kid in Brooklyn. We won the statewide Pre-K guarantee — now finish the job on 3-K.
- 03Make 2-K funding permanentParents won the first 2-K seats in New York history. Fund them for good, so we’re not back fighting for the same seats next spring.
- 04Pay the workforce a living wageThe people who care for our kids can’t afford care for their own. Poverty wages drive good teachers out, and an empty classroom helps nobody.
- 05Get to universal child careFree care for every kid, birth to five. Same idea as public school — and nobody means-tests that.

Signing above backs universal child care — the whole fight. These are the campaigns it covers; some will get petitions of their own.
- Full-Day, Full-Year Care (NYC)A free seat that ends at 2pm doesn’t work for parents who work full-time. We’re going to make every 3-K and Pre-K seat full-day and full-year.
- Statewide 3-K96% of 3-year-olds outside NYC can’t get free child care. First we passed a statewide Pre-K guarantee — now we’re pushing for 3-K.
- Permanent Funding for 2-KParents won the first 2-K seats in New York’s history. Now we’re fighting to fund them for good.
- Universal Child CareOur vision: free care for every child, from birth to five, full-day, full-year, in every zip code across New York.
